Textiles moving at high speed
‘The piece “Look 5” is inspired by archival runway. The collection plays with contrast, sharp tailoring mixed with softer elements like chiffon, fur, and delicate embroidery. It also made me think of how TURN curates pieces, bringing together similar textures and moods that feel really connected to that era.’

RUN STORE, an ongoing curatorial project by artist and fashion designer Susan Cianciolo. In the tradition of a visionary artist’s environment, RUN STORE is a recreation of Cianciolo’s home studio, a complete encapsulation of her life project, with hand painted dressers and tables, hand-sewn quilts covering the floor, and a selection of her “costumes”—a moniker which places them outside fashion and instead in history.

In Misr ﻣﺼﺮ, curator Sarah Daoui and Dabbous reconstruct the artist’s Cairo studio within a New York loft. Postcards, curtains, car covers, lights, and studio remnants are installed alongside finished textile works and light boxes. A soundscape by Jade Croo, composed from recordings gathered in and around Dabbous’s studio, further situates the work within its originating environment.
